About Sunny Dog Place
Suzanne and Trevor Mackay who have a life long passion for animals, own Sunny Dog Place, a cage-free daycare, boarding and training facility. We initially started off as daycare clients ourselves with our beloved dog Nikita a high energy French Shepherd whose energy was only tempered by hours of play while at cage-free daycare.
In 2002 we had the good fortune to start Doggie Land our previous cage- free daycare, boarding and training facility and transitioned to Sunny Dog Place in 2007. To date 9000 dogs have passed through our doors and we look forward to many more wonderful two and four legged clients coming to see us.
We are dedicated to giving your dog the best home away from home experience when they come and play for the day or stay overnight. We want each dog to have a fun, stimulating experience. Each dog receives personal attention whether they are with us for the day or a weekend or a 3 week training stay. We treat our clients and their dogs as friends so that they feel comfortable with the care and attention we give to their pets.
Our 7500 square foot facility can accommodate dogs of all shapes and sizes – we have separate areas for small, medium and large dogs. We can also accommodate dogs with limitations (older dogs, deaf dogs etc.)
Our environment is an open, airy design and we welcome you to take a tour and meet our staff. As you tour our facility you will see the evidence of our passion for the dogs. Owners delight when our friendly staff greets your dogs and are even surprised when their dog doesn’t quite seem ready to go home. The passion of our people is evident, they love caring for the dogs.
In addition to daycare and boarding, we also offer training – classes, bootcamp and behavioral. Please feel free to take a tour of our location and if you haven't already done so, to meet our staff. We look forward to meeting you.
