How to Become a Client

We welcome any friendly, healthy dog who is up to date on all their vaccines. (We can also accommodate puppies, older dogs and dogs that have challenges such as age, hip dysplasia, arthritis, blindness, deafness or other chronic conditions). Our temperament test (doggie interview) is a chance for you and your dog to meet our staff and see our facility. Questions are always welcome. If you aren't sure if your dog is friendly or not, or is very shy or rambunctious, a trainer can be made available by appointment to conduct your dog's temperament test.

Listed below are the easy steps to becoming a client:
  • Your dog must be healthy:

    • Flea free - your dog must be on a flea protocol program such as Advantage, Frontline, Revolution other recommended flea abatement programs recommended by your veterinarian.

    • Free from upper respiratory problems or any other contagious illness. Any dog showing signs of illness: coughing, sneezing, ‘goopy eyes’ etc. will not be admitted under any circumstances, no exceptions. This is to protect the health of all dogs (including yours).

    • Have proof of up to date vaccinations (titer tests also accepted for some vaccines)

      • Rabies
      • DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo, Parainfluenza)
      • Bortadella (given every 6 months)

  • Spayed or Neutered: All dogs over the age of 6 months must be spayed or neutered.

  • Friendly with other dogs-hence the purpose of our doggie interview!

  1. Please call us to schedule an interview for you and your dog. The interview is brief, usually taking 30 minutes or less. We usually perform temperament tests Monday through Saturday during operating hours between 9-4 PM. If these times do not work for you please let us know so that we can do our best to accommodate you.

Note: We do not perform temperament tests on Sundays

  2. Once you and your dog have arrived for you appointment (please have your dog(s) leashed) let us know you are here. If you are a new dog owner, have multiple dogs or just need help controlling your dog we are happy to help, just ask. We will have you fill out some basic paperwork, show us proof of your dog’s current vaccinations and be happy to answer any of your questions.

  3. We will then perform a temperament test and have your dog(s) meet a few other friendly dogs of similar size and temperament. Most dogs pass with flying colors and enjoy being with the other dogs and/or playing with toys. Keep in mind that this is a new experience for your dog so he/she may be a little nervous in the beginning which is perfectly normal. After a few minutes most dogs are busy investigating the area and enjoying the other dogs.
